Chicago Department of Transportation Bicycle Program KML files

KML files open inside Google Earth and other applications. KML files are standard XML files, designed for easy machine readability and manipulation. The following two links will generate KML files holding real-time, up to the minute data.

If you have Google Earth installed on your computer, these files should automatically open upon download.

The CDOT Bicycle Program is always looking to provide to citizens more useful data and information about safe and fun cycling in Chicago. This side project helps that effort. The GIS division within the Chicago Department of Innovation and Technology offers Bike Routes GIS data [ZIP]. Other GIS datasets are available.
