Bike Parking Public Interface

On this website you can do three things:

  1. Check on the status of your request
  2. Request a new bike rack
  3. Find bike racks in a certain ZIP Code, Ward or Community Area

Use one of the three forms below.

Check on the status of your request
Choose one of the following three fields:

Check on the status of your request

You can type in just a few numbers of the SR#, or the entire number. Examples are listed:

  • "07-" (find all rack requests made in 2007)
  • "07" (find all rack requests with the numbers "07" within the ServiceRequest#)

311 SR numbers begin with a two-digit year, followed by a dash, then eight digits.

Only rack records exactly matching the ID you input will be found. An ID and tracking link is emailed to you upon request acceptance.

Acceptable formatting for Street Address searches:

  • 215 W Monroe
  • 215 Monroe
  • 215
  • Monroe

The database will be searched for a range of addresses around the street number you search so fuzzy or imprecise searches are okay.

Essential Information (required)

Only intersections or exact street addresses are accepted. For example:

  • State and Lake
  • State & Lake
  • 200 N State

Only Chicago addresses are accepted.

Additional Information (not required)
Example: "coffee shop," or "CTA station"

Include information like nearby businesses, CTA stops, attractions...

Help make your case. Residential locations receive secondary consideration.
