Personal Information
The only personally identifying information the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) Bicycle Program collects is what you give us. We will not sell, lease, or otherwise distribute the personal information we receive from you. We currently only collect contact information (name, phone, email) which will never be shared or displayed. If you would like your contact information removed from your bike rack request, please contact us.
Security The personal information you submit through the Bike Rack Request form is transmitted without encryption, possibly allowing an individual to capture the information. This is true for all websites that do not employ "SSL" encryption. You can easily determine which websites use SSL encryption by looking for a small padlock icon or a yellow background address bar. You should always use the latest version of your web browser:
Computer Information
This server's statistics collection software or other selected statistics collecting platforms, chosen by the Bicycle Program, may collect additional information about your computer, including operating system, IP address, and Internet Service Provider (ISP). We use a custom-built basic stats system which only collects IP address (to determine unique visits), and the date and time of your visit. We also use Google Analytics, whose privacy policy can be read here.

This website is operated and maintained by the City of Chicago Department of Transportation Bicycle Program and/or its consultants as part of the Bike Parking Program and for the purposes of providing better bike parking services to the citizens and bicyclists of Chicago.
Chicagoland Bicycle Federation
This website, its accompanying database, and all the information stored within, is hosted on a server paid for and managed by the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation (CBF), whose IT staff may have access to the information stored in the server.
